At different points along the route, the route uses local roads with little vehicle traffic, despite which it is mandatory to drive on the right side and with caution. Special care is recommended at junctions where the route crosses major roads.

In Llanos de Alba you can see the ruins of the legendary Alba Castle.

Near Carrocera and on the route of the bicycle route is the Hito de la Memoria, a dramatic sculpture that remembers the repression that followed the Civil War.

La Robla is a prosperous and industrial town, located on the banks of the Bernesga in the transition from the plateau to the mountains. Its name comes from the term "robla or conrobla", which refers to the ancient custom of sealing agreements or sales with a treat and a handshake, a scene that is reflected in the town's own coat of arms.
