Taking the detour to the right of the CL-623 from Leon to La Magdalena, we descend to Carrocera. We continue to Cuevas de Viñayo to continue to Piedrasecha. Here the hill of the same name is crowned (1,268 m), before descending to the town and joining the Portilla de Luna path. The next section crosses another mountain pass, the Coros pass (1,311 m). Next we descend to Portilla and from there, northwards, to Vega de Caballeros.
