Between Portilla de Luna and Vega de Caballeros , the route runs entirely by road. In the first section, the local road that gives access to the town from the Valle del Luna is used. This road, narrow and with little traffic, leads through a valley nestled between hills covered with meadows and forests, until its confluence with the Luna. At that point, it connects with La Magdalena district to Barrios de Luna, which leads in a few kilometers and in a countercurrent direction, to Vega de Caballeros.
