On the 5th November, 1556, the imperial entourage arrived at the city of Medina del Campo. The city's Castillo de la Mota sits on a small hill and today welcomes the city's visitors. The entourage stayed in the home of el cambiante Rodrigo de Dueñas. Today the palace, a Renaissance mansion that Rodrigo de Dueñas used for leisure, is situated on the outskirts of the city and is known as the Casa Blanca.
