Despite Isabella’s initial misgivings and her reluctance to marry without the Pope’s authorisation, the marriage agreement was signed in March 1469 and Ferdinand and Isabella were married in the State Room of the Palace of the Vivero Family and Chancery in Valladolid on 19th October 1469.
