Medina del Campo (Valladolid) was a market town under the jurisdiction of Queen Isabella after it was granted to her by her brother Alphonse. The Royal Palace in Medina del Campo left to her in his will became her permanent home.
On 12th October 1504, Queen Isabella drew up her will before her secretary and notary Gaspar de Gricio. On 23rd November, three days before her death, she dictated her codicil. The Queen passed away in the Royal Palace in Medina del Campo on 26th November 1504.
