This slope ends at a crossroads, where a road deviates to the right in the direction of Castro and other towns on the banks of the Omañas, and where the starting point of the bicycle route from Riello to Villablino is also located. Our stage continues straight ahead with a rapid and winding descent to the valley of the Omañas River, in whose plain lies the quiet town of Inicio.
Crossing the town, the road climbs again through a narrow valley covered with oaks, which leads to a hill with great panoramic views of the Cantabrian Mountains. The asphalt ends a little further on in Andarraso, a nucleus that is crossed from north to south to continue along a dirt track that branches off on the outskirts of the town. Our itinerary continues along the right branch, along the so-called Llastras path, which leads through heather to a wide clearing opened for the construction of a line of mills that runs through the Cueto de los Ciervos. This wind farm is followed for several kilometers until the junction of the Sousas Valley road, along which there is a sharp descent that ends on the road from Valdesamario to Espina de Tremor.
