After crossing a very spectacular strait called El Pielgo, the path descends slightly in the direction of the San Pedro area, where a track is separated by hand. Our itinerary continues along the same slope of the valley, where we cross the waste dumps and pass the abandoned buildings of the Valdemestola and El Adrao mines. This path ends up coming out onto the road near Espina de Temor, at a point where the horizontal traffic signs force us to turn right without entering the town to continue in the direction of Murias de Ponjos and Valdesamario.
The next section runs along a road characterized by sudden slopes that reach a gradient of 10%. Leaving Murias de Ponjos behind, the route descends gently through the valley of the Valdesamario stream until finding a path that deviates north through the Sousas Valley. It is the beginning of a climb along a forest track that connects with a wide clearing opened for the construction of a line of windmills. The track of this wind farm guides us through the Cueto de los Ciervos until joining the Llastras path that leads through heather to Andarraso.
