After a first section of gentle descent, the descent steepens before crossing the bed of the Rebedul stream. At this point, the repopulation is left behind and we go up to contact the main route of the Cañadas Reales (Drovers' road) Leonesa Oriental, which leads down to San Pedro de Cansoles, the last Palencia town of the stage. Leaving the town's threshing floors, we continue down the Cañadas Reales (Drovers' road) until crossing the Valcuende stream. At this point there is a detour to the north through which the stream goes up to the town of the same name.

The route leaves Valcuende along the local road, crossing the train tracks over an overpass. However, you immediately leave the asphalt for the first dirt track that turns off to the left of the road in the direction of La Majada, a beautiful cleared mountain, with imposing oak trees and buildings for livestock. This track ends up linking with the so-called La Loma path, which follows a division of slopes towards the west until finding a firebreak through which a rapid descent is made that ends on the left bank of the Cea river at the gates of Puente Almuhey.
