The municipality of Alcazarén is considered to be the birthplace of the Mudejar style, as well as the first town in the province of Valladolid on the Madrid Way to Santiago. This small, irregularly-shaped town is renowned for offering some of the finest hospitality on the entire Pilgrims’ Route to Santiago.

This town also includes the following sites of interest: the Parish Church of Santiago, the Church of San Pedro, the Chapel of El Cristo del Humilladero, the Town Hall and the Old Bridge over the River Eresma.
