Autumn transforms the natural scenery of Las Merindades into a sublime palette of color that spreads across a changing landscape. Walking through it is a sensory experience that is impossible to forget, thanks to the spectacle of its many waterfalls and bathing areas, the infinite forests that can be seen from the top of Alto de la Mazorra and in whose bowels stand Romanesque churches such as Puente Arenas or San Pantaleón de Losa, the monastery of Santa María de Rioseco from the 16th century. XII inhabited for centuries by Cistercian monks or unique towns like Puentedey with its imposing natural bridge excavated in the rock.
