The river Trabancos joins the Duero very near here. Around here, very close to the river, are the remains of an ancient settlement where fragments of terra sigillata and post-Hallstat ceramics have been found. In fact, a bronze sculpture has been found from this Roman period. There is a church with a Neo-classical altarpiece with a carving of Jesus tied to the column.
