Sluice number 41 is found outside the city in the area known as La Overuela. This brings the section of Ramal de Campos to a close. This part of the Canal de Castilla almost goes unnoticed.

Behind the impressive Berrocal aqueduct, which today is used for sports activities as climbing, the 42nd and last sluice is found. This is the only sluice whose hatch opens. The old hydroelectric power station now houses the ‘Centro de Gestión y Control de Recursos Hidráulicos’.

The Canal now makes its way towards the area known as La Victoria where its course draws to an end in the dock in Valladolid. The mill, the workers' huts and the old warehouses have managed to survive.

Two boundary stones - the 6th and the 7th - and another aqueduct known as the Pedrosilla aqueduct, situated before the Berrocal aqueduct, indicate the end of this section of the route along the Canal de Castilla. In the eyes of 21st century tourists, Valladolid blends modernity with its rich history whose mark has been left on the city. Civil and religious monuments, combined with modern constructions, invite tourists to visit the city.
