The Tourism Hosts project, promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism , is part of the General Guidelines of the Sustainable Tourism Strategy of Spain 2030. Specifically, in strategic axis 4, 'Tourist space, companies and people', the line of action 'Promote a higher quality of tourism employment', considers that tourism service providers are the key to the success of companies and tourist destinations.

The sector needs to attract and retain the best talent, since workers are ultimately responsible for tourist satisfaction. To achieve this, training is the pillar on which to build perceived quality and the quality of the tourist offer . It must ensure that employees in the sector can adequately carry out their functions and, through appropriate professional qualifications or degrees, offer a trustworthy environment to employers and workers.
