- ALTERNATIVE: ( Alejico- Sabero section by road): 11.2 km /1 hour 5 min. /elevation 160 m.
- DIFFICULTY OF THE SECTION: high. RECOMMENDED TIME: from spring to autumn, avoiding rainy or snowy seasons.
To leave Verdiago in the direction of Cistierna you have to join the N-621. Thus, we will arrive at Alejico, passing through Aleje. In Alejico there are two options: follow the road along the river or take the path to Sabero along the top of La Loma. Once in Sabero, the last section of the route is tackled along the forest track that goes up the Prao Fuego Valley to go down towards Cistierna along the Castro de Vegamediana road, crossing the old wash house.
