A small town on the banks of the River Tuerto that no longer bears any traces of the Zamora Imperial Road that brought prosperity to these places. Its elevated position provides views of Astorga whose towers and skyline can be clearly made out, indicating the end of the Silver Route, which a few kilometres further on merges with the better-known French Way that leads to Santiago de Compostela. The breathtaking views are undoubtedly the highlights of this stretch of the route.
This town is also the site of the Church of San Vicente Mártir.
