The city of Valladolid is the starting point for the Mystics Route. It was here that Saint Teresa founded her fourth Discalced Carmelite convent, whose church houses sculptures by Gregorio Fernández. Several other exceptional works of art can be admired in the cloister, and visitors can also see the cell where Saint lived in during her stays at the convent and a signed copy of her work The Way of Perfection.
