The town of Arcos de Jalón, a fortified frontier that in the Middle ages defended the valley of the river Jalón that provided access to the plateau. The town is dominated by the remains of its castle, which is on the top of a hill.
Among its religious monuments, the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción church deserves special mention. It dates from the Gothic-Renaissance period and has a single nave. There is also an organ from the 18th century.
