Discover the Riberas de Castronuño, a natural space in the central-west of Valladolid that is home to a great diversity of water birds, a riverside forest and a reservoir.
See the emblematic marsh ecosystem of the San José reservoir, which stands out for its importance for nesting and as a wintering area for various aquatic birds.
Explore the riparian forest with poplars, willows, poplars, ashes and hawthorns that accompany the river, providing shelter to important colonies of gray heron, egret and little egret.
In Castronuño, marvel at winter refuges for mallards, shovelers, pochards and cormorants. Discover historic Tordesillas with its convents, churches and palaces, where important treaties were signed in the 15th century.
Observe the rich riparian vegetation, from alameda and olmeda to holm oak and stone pine, along with thyme, broom and reed beds. This fragile place is essential as a breeding and wintering space for various species, some in danger of extinction, such as colonies of gray heron and martinet.
