Located between the rivers Arevalillo and Adaja, its historical center, with a declaration of Historical Settlement, houses castle, squares, medieval bridges and numerous churches. It is considered one of the main centers of Castilian Mudejar.
Characters such as S. Ignacio de Loyola and Isabel la Católica are intimately linked to this city, where they spent years of experience and formation, as well as others linked to the Hebrew and Muslim culture, with an important presence in the town in the middle ages.
Other of its main attractions are the antiques trade, of deep-rooted tradition, and the gastronomy, with the brand Tostón de Arévalo (roast suckling pig) as a signature dish.
