Another backbone of the Community, which served as a border between the kingdoms of Leon and Castile, is generated by the Pisuerga River. This river divides a good part of the Community from the Cantabrian mountain range until it leaves its abundant waters in the Duero River near the town of Simancas.

In all the towns we pass through, there is enough heritage and resources to justify a stop, but it will have to be scheduled according to the time available to complete this route. They are simple roads, with little driving work and with a lot of tourist and cultural value.
The first reference of this section is found in the municipality of Saldaña, where the Middle Ages and Roman culture (Villa Romana de la Olmeda) go hand in hand, and then look for the historic town of Frómista, with its great monumental and artistic heritage. , led by the beautiful Romanesque church of San Martín de Tours, for which we have passed through Villalcázar de Sirga with its spectacular and mystical Templar church of Santa María la Blanca, to which King Alfonso X dedicated his songs.

Visiting the castles can be somewhat uncomfortable in motorcycle clothing. Don't worry, it is possible to do it and it is highly recommended to see some of the exhibitions shown inside or climb its watchtowers.
