Just on the bend in the river Duero, shortly before reaching Roa, is the village of Berlangas de Roa, between the meadows of the Duero and the Riaza.  The historic quarter, made up of ancient houses where adobe alternates with stone, is surprisingly well looked after.  The road is the backbone of the village, where one can visit the Iglesia de San Andrés and the Ermita de la Virgen de los Huertos.
