The church was built between the XI to XIII centuries. It is a Romanesque church of basilica floor with three naves separated by arches on cylindrical pillars; the central nave is double size of the laterals, with transept marked on the floor, tower in one of the sides of the transept, atrium in the southern side extended westwards where it tops with the large pointed portico of the feet, and three semicircular uneven apses.

Abandoned after the Ecclesiastical confiscations, it was purchased by Daniel Zuloaga Boneta in 1905, to install inside his home and pottery. It was acquired by the State and has become Zuloaga Museum, being possible to simultaneously admire the beauty of its Romanesque elements.
