Within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, policy lever 5 "Modernization and digitalization of the industrial fabric and SMEs, Component 14 "Modernization and Competitiveness of the Tourism Sector", responds to the need to transform and modernize the sector tourism in Spain, increasing its competitiveness and resilience from a comprehensive perspective including 4 strategic axes converted into its main investments.
Investment 4 "Actions in the field of Competitiveness" aims to implement actions to boost the competitiveness of the tourism sector, and through its submeasure 2 it is aimed at financing energy efficiency and circular economy projects in tourism companies.
The Tourism Sector Conference Agreement of March 29, 2022, establishes the territorial distribution of credit corresponding to the 2022 budget, of the financing line for Energy Efficiency and Circular Economy Projects of Tourism Companies, of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and is published by Resolution of March 31, 2022, of the Secretary of State for Tourism.

The submission period is extended until April 28, 2023 , and the minimum investment, established in general, is reduced from 30,000 euros to 6,000 euros. It is recalled that they have 16 million euros financed by the Next Generation-EU European Funds, within the framework of component 14, investment 4, submeasure 2 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
