This zone, known by various names such as the Campo de Marte, is surrounded by many convents. Public executions took place here but in 1877 Mayor Don Miguel Íscar decided to do away with them.

Visitors can stroll around the spacious grounds, following the twisting paths lined by huge trees. Rocks line the lake shore and the small bridges lend a rustic appearance to the scene.
