Type of route
Several days

Already lost the reference of the Pisuerga River, this second section will look for peculiar places where the biker can be surprised with Mudejar art as a common thread. The roads will be simple and quite correct for the use of any vehicle.

Data of interest

Around

Before starting this section related to Mudejar art, we will make the first stop at the Riberas de Castronuño - Vega de Duero Natural Reserve, a privileged place for bird watching, where we will change course, directing our motorcycle towards Medina del Campo, crossing Nava del Rey.

In Medina del Campo you have multiple cultural offerings, although its greatest exponent is the Castillo de la Mota. The town of Olmedo has another Mudejar reference in its urban area and in the Mudejar Theme Park of Castile and León, where you can find the very precise and original recreation of several buildings of this architectural style to scale.

Already in lands of pine forests, we look for other Mudejar references such as the castle of the Segovian town of Coca or in Arévalo where the modest brick is taken to its maximum expression with the Temples of Santa María la Mayor del Castillo, Santo Domingo, San Martín and The Lugareja.

Do not miss

  • Riberas de Castronuño.
  • Church of Santos Juanes in Nava del Rey.
  • La Mota Castle in Medina del Campo.
  • Mudejar theme park of Castile and León. Olmedo.
  • Coca Castle.
  • Arévalo.
  • Madrigal de las Altas Torres.
  • Bonilla de la Sierra.
  • Avila.

To consider...

The roads are usually wide and may tempt you to go a little faster. Don't do it because the roots of the pine trees cause small bulges in the asphalt surface and can cause discomfort.
