April 23rd marks International Book Day , and the Zamora Public Library is celebrating once again with a series of activities, including an uninterrupted reading of "Don Quixote de la Mancha," this year in person.
It will take place in the library's auditorium on Tuesday, April 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. and is open to all ages.
Each participant will read a fragment of "Don Quixote" for a period of five minutes and the reading will begin from chapter XXVI " Where the fine things that Don Quixote did as a lover in Sierra Morena are continued", continuing the reading begun in previous years.
The readings will be recorded to create a video that will build on previous editions. All participants in this activity consent to the recordings being uploaded to the Zamora Public Library's YouTube channel. Minors will be given a consent form to be signed by their parents or legal guardians.
If you wish to participate in the in-person reading, you can sign up at the reception desk (ground floor of the library) or by calling 980 53 15 51 and reserve your preferred time for the reading.
Registration begins on April 1st.
We invite all residents of Zamora and visitors to participate in this deeply rooted activity, both as readers and listeners, and to join the thousands of collective readings of "Don Quixote" held around the world on World Book Day.
We look forward to seeing you!
