Since 2013, the Clásicos Tropicales group has been dedicated to reviving nineteenth-century salon music, which was played mainly in colonial Cuba and then spread to other countries in America and throughout Western Europe, especially Spain and France. Clásicos Tropicales has given around thirty concerts, mainly in the province of Segovia. Its repertoire consists of more than a hundred pieces.

In this recital, Clásicos Tropicales pays tribute to the Ibero-American female composers of the 19th and 20th centuries who, in less than ideal circumstances, were able to develop their musical abilities by composing salon pieces. Forgotten for many years, current research has brought to light true gems that Clásicos Tropicales offers for your enjoyment.
