The photographs of José Maçãs de Carvalho, Nuno Cera and Sandra Rocha are indications of public places, among the densest and most recognizable urbanization, passing through winding paths of expanding cities to the possible nature.
These unpretentious, real images (the way Courbet understood his realism: without heroism) reiterate the assumption of photography as a vestige, but also as a fragment of a totality to come.
The exhibition is part of the activities that the Centre for Iberian Studies develops around the Transversalidades – Fotografía sin Fronteras project, with the aim of strengthening territorial culture and defining the identity of places.
