The event will be presented and moderated by Estuardo Alvarez, a Guatemalan painter and poet.

Testimony of the people who, since October 2, 2023, began a historic struggle in Guatemala in defense of the vote and Democracy, which was led by indigenous authorities from seven towns: the 48 Cantons of Totonicapán, the Indigenous Mayor's Office of Sololá, the mayors of the Ixil Region, the Xinka Parliament, the Indigenous Mayor's Office of Santa Lucía Utatlán, the Indigenous Mayor's Office of San Cristóbal Totonicapán and the United Communities of Chichicastenango. They were joined by indigenous and ancestral authorities from all over the national territory. They raised their stakes as a legitimate authority against the corrupt who sought to carry out a coup d'état, annulling the decision of the people expressed at the polls.

For 106 days of peaceful resistance, which extended until January 15, 2024, it was the Varas de la Dignidad, before whom the urban and mestizo population of all Guatemala obeyed, who defended Democracy as a value of hope for a better life.

The documentary, which was originally conceived by Luis Pacheco and Walter Del Cid, was directed and produced by Arturo Albizures. The script was written by Carmen Reina, the texts by Walter Del Cid and Carmen Reina, and the editing and camera work was by Arturo Albizures.
