On Friday, April 11, at 6:30 p.m. José Miguel M. Carrobles will provide the musical accompaniment for the film Nosferatu (FW Murnau, 1922).

Specializing in improvised accompaniment of silent films for over 20 years, apart from his career in the classical repertoire, he has performed in numerous theaters and film clubs, both in the country and abroad.

José Miguel M. Carrobles, Toledo, 1975. Self-taught at the beginning, improvisation has played a particularly important role in his training and in his musical and professional activity. He began his studies at the "Jacinto Guerrero" Music Conservatory. During this first stage, he traveled to Bulgaria as winner of the "Banderas de la Paz" composition prize, recording for Bulgarian radio. He has been the winner of the "Jacinto Guerrero" National Piano Competition, as well as the Regional Competition for Young Performers of Castilla-La Mancha.

He later studied in New York with the professor of the "Manhattan School of Music" Ubaldo Díaz Acosta. He has also received classes from pianists such as Ludmil Angelov, Ricardo Requejo, Nelly Ben'Or, Ramón Coll, Miguel Ituarte, Claudio Martínez Mehner… He completed his higher education at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid and the "Padre Antonio Soler" Conservatory in El Escorial, also obtaining the End of Degree Honor Prize in Accompaniment.
