Egypt. Valley of the Kings, November 1922. The day his patron, Lord Carnarvon, informs him of the withdrawal of financial support and the closure of the excavation, archaeologist Howard Carter, with the singular help of a water carrier from the valley, discovers a new tomb, perhaps the one he was most looking forward to, the only one from the 18th dynasty not found until then, that of Tutankhamun. Although they must notify the authorities before entering, they cannot resist the temptation to check if it is the tomb of the mysterious pharaoh, and they sneak into its chambers. There they confirm their great discovery: they are in the tomb of the boy pharaoh. But, in addition to discovering wonderful things , they get into a monumental mess. They accidentally activate a mysterious mechanism and open a passage to the underworld. There appears the mummy of Tutankhamun, who has not been able to survive the trial of Osiris due to a perverse trap; someone stole his heart when he was embalmed, and, instead of in the fields of Aaru (the Egyptian paradise), he spends his eternity pursued by the monster Ammyt. In order to solve this dangerous injustice, the archaeologist and the water carrier will allow the goddess Hathor, protector of children, to take them back in time to try to recover the stolen heart.

The show features a medium-large, highly dynamic set that goes from representing the Valley of the Kings or the tomb of Tutankhamun to various settings from ancient Egypt. Actors and puppets interact in the various settings to intensify the fantastic dimension and possibilities of the plot without losing the sense of authenticity of the scenes. The amusing antics of the protagonists invite reflection on authority and ambition, the value of perseverance, ingenuity and collaboration. The entire show highlights the importance of archaeological heritage and research to understand our history as accurately as possible.
