Manuela del Caño continues with her tetralogy, this time dedicated to spring for the second time.
From the roar of a storm to the gentle breeze of a sunny morning, in this talk we will explore how spring, with its rebirth of nature, has influenced composers of different eras and styles. We will address the connection between music and the sensory perception of the weather, from the use of instruments that imitate natural sounds to the emotional impact that certain timbres and harmonies generate in the audience.
Through musical examples we will hear spring not only with our ears, but with our imagination, discovering how weather and music intertwine to give life to one of the most inspiring seasons of the year.
Wednesday, March 5th
Time: 19:30 h.
