Trigedias de Amor y cuernos (Trigedias of Love and Horns) brings together the best tradition of Galician bululú, with two immortal texts in the puppet tradition: Don Ramón del Valle Inclán's
Los cuernos de Don Friolera (The Horns of Don Friolera ) and Federico García Lorca's
El retablillo de Don Cristóbal (The Altarpiece of Don Cristóbal ), both told in the style of Galician bululú. The blind man makes a stage set with his body and cape and relies on puppets to recover the essence of theatre, raw theatre, the catharsis of the cachiporra (drum). Both stories are introduced by Nicanor Parra's wine verses. Bululú: a solitary actor or comedian who travelled on foot from town to town giving short performances, changing his voice according to the condition of the characters he played.
