A journey into female desire told by its protagonists / A dialogue between words and electronic music / A new look at the poetic recital.

The discovery of one's own body, the contemplation of the beauty of the loved one, excitement, sexual encounter, separation and absence are recurring themes in the literature of all times and cultures, but women have almost always been the object and rarely the subjects of desire.

However, some women have told their own experiences of pleasure in the first person: from Sappho to Sor Juana Ines, Li Ye, Wallada, Hildegard of Bingen, Hadewijch of Antwerp, Hafsa Al-Rakunia, Beatrice of Dia, Christine de Pizan, Florencia Pinar, Teresa de Avila, Louise Labe, Gaspara Stampa and Aphra Behn. We want to introduce these women, whom the new generations do not always recognise as teachers in our school of desire, and we want to put them in dialogue with our contemporaries.

Eva Rufo, an actress experienced in the classical repertoire, will serve as a medium to bring these desiring women's voices to our present, turning the traditional concept of a poetic recital on its head. The electronic music, generated live by Enrico Barbaro from pieces of the classical repertoire (Hildegarda Von Bingen, Pergolesi, Jordi Savall, Domenico Scarlatti, Korsakov¿) will be the interlocutor of the lyrical staging, and together they will seduce the audience in this immersive experience in the territory of female pleasure.
