This Anthology is a show that recreates the different types of comedy that our authors were so good at reflecting in the Genre Chico.

This show is different from the usual ones in the genre, since it bases its focus on comic numbers , without forgetting, of course, the romances of the great zarzuela. The audience sees scenes from different zarzuelas parade before their eyes (La Verbena de la Paloma, La Revoltosa, Agua Azucarillos y Aguardiente, El Bateo etc.) and thus in an entertaining and fun way, pieces of a happy Spain are woven together, characters as endearing as Don Hilarión, Señá Rita or Julianillo (the one who has a mother) join hands with "La Revoltosa" or with Asia, the corny girl from the beginning of the 20th century.

Some of the best spoken scenes have also been introduced into the show, such as the dialogue between Vicente and Lorenzo from Agua, azucarillos y aguardiente or that between Cándido and Gorgonia from La Revoltosa, who also, with their jokes and bravado, delight the audience in a language full of character and mischief.

This company is made up of a group of professionals who regularly collaborate with the best national zarzuela and theatre companies (actors, singers and musicians), who have come together with the aim of bringing a genre as Spanish as Zarzuela, Género Chico and Sainete to all kinds of spectators, young and old, whether they are familiar with this genre or not. With their voices and their good work, they bring to this show a quality that the public has recognised and appreciated in the different theatres where it has been performed. It is worth highlighting the costumes, which bring a touch of colour and magic from another time, as they are carefully taken care of to recreate the types, uses and customs of the time.
