«They were dragged along by bad luck and suffered a bad death in one of the worst terrorist massacres of all time. Then, for twenty years, they were victims of a spiral of lies. We should stop it. In these pages appear those who, trying, paid a high price. Three victims speak (Pilar Manjón, Eulogio Paz and Aitziber Berrueta), as do journalists (José Antonio Zarzalejos, Gumersindo Lafuente and José Antonio Martínez Soler) and two police officers (Juan Jesús Sánchez Manzano and Rodolfo Ruiz) who maintained the same version of the 11-M attacks from the first moment. They are plural and different voices that converge in a collective testimony. In the end, I contribute my own and some reflections. We would like to contribute to restoring coexistence and to vindicate the democratic memory, which were seriously wounded in March 2004.»

Twenty years have passed since the 11-M attacks, the jihadist attacks that claimed the lives of 192 people and injured more than 2,000. This work rescues the first-person account of those who paid a very high personal and professional cost to defend the truth against conspiracy theories.
