Roberto Hernández Yustos, author of the photographs in this book, focuses on the cultural importance of the dulzaina in Segovia, a musical instrument that has become a symbol of local folklore. Through a documentary photography project, the author seeks to portray the deep connection between the dulzaina and the Segovian identity, exploring how this instrument has evolved over time and continues to unite different generations in celebrations and rituals. The artisanal manufacturing process of the dulzainas is also considered, highlighting the dedication of the dulzaineros who have kept these traditions alive despite the challenges. The project, entitled To the Sound of the Dulzaina, proposes a reflection on the validity of these cultural manifestations, highlighting their essential role in the daily life of the Segovian communities.
