The Jazz Sextet is a tribute to visionary composer Raymond Scott, whose innovative and timeless compositions have left an indelible mark on music and culture.
Group Focus:
The Original Cartoon Band stands out for its ability to fuse classic jazz with the joy and inventiveness that characterizes Raymond Scott's compositions. From the frenetic rhythms to the suggestive, descriptive and playful melodies, our sextet captures the unique essence of the golden era of music for film and cartoon animation of the mid-1930s and 1940s, adding pieces by the great composer John Kirby.

Members of the sextet:

Hector Abella (clarinet), Carlos Casado (trumpet), Rafael Gomez (saxophone), Chema Corvo (piano), Pancho Ruano (double bass), Javier Barragues (drums).
