We are pleased to announce a new conference today within the cycle of Musical Afternoons : " Music and Revenge... In Plato Frío?". An outraged ideal, a broken heart, a hope lacking a future... In this session we will reflect on the nature of revenge and the need for reparation. Observing how this feeling has structured some musical works will give us a privileged point of view to better understand this phenomenon. Among other works, we will explore above all the case of Sweeney Todd (1979), the fantastic musical created by Stephen Sondheim, led by Carlos Gutiérrez Cajaraville.
