The Public Library of Zamora hosts the literary meeting with the Romanian poet, essayist and prose writer, winner of the 2024 Princess of Asturias Award for Literature.

Ana Blandiana (pseudonym of Otilia Valeria Coman; Timișoara, 1942) is a Romanian poet, narrator, essayist and political figure. Blandiana is one of Romania's literary figures, a critic of Nicolae Ceaușescu's communist political and censorship apparatus. She has been awarded the Princess of Asturias Award for Literature 2024. (Wikipedia, 09-24-2024)

"A cult author throughout Europe, Blandiana’s work reflects – as has been written – a deep understanding of the Romanian spirit during a historic period of oppression, and establishes defeat and hope as the guidelines of her literary project. Known for her anti-communist poetry, Blandiana distinguished herself by a sublime rebellion that led her for years to live as an exile within her own country." (Press release Princess of Asturias Awards 05/23/2024)

Natalia Carbajosa (Puerto de Santa María, 1971) is a writer, poet, translator and professor of Modern Languages at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
