Discovering writer and editor Consuelo Gil Röesset

The Hidden Library exhibition is dedicated to Consuelo Gil Röesset, a writer and editor of many of the children's magazines of the mid-20th century in Spain.

Victoria Sotomayor Sáez will accompany us on a journey through the life and work of this woman who knew how to delight young people with her publications.

María Victoria Sotomayor Sáez is a Professor of Spanish Literature and Children's Literature at the Autonomous University of Madrid, currently holding an honorary professorship. For the first twenty years of her academic career, she taught at the Segovia University School of Education, before moving to the Cantoblanco campus of the Autonomous University.

She has published numerous studies and monographs along both lines. These include Words for a City: The Segovia that María Zambrano Experienced (2004); Don Quixote for Children and Young People: 1905-2008.
