Friday, May 2, at 6:30 p.m. with Ana Silva and Márcio Costa.
"The Great Ladies of Jazz" is a musical conference that explores the lives and works of the great voices of American jazz from the 1930s to the 1960s.
The goal is to bring viewers closer to the story of these artists who didn't have it easy in a male-dominated musical world.
In a guitar and vocal format, part narration and part sung, Ana Silva and Márcio Costa present us with the most emblematic songs of the great jazz vocalists such as Ella Fitzerald, Sara Vaghaun, Billie Holiday and Peggy Lee.
They tell us the anecdotes and stories that accompanied this era of music, suggesting a trip to New Orleans or Harlem in the 1950s.
The repertoire will include: "All of me," "Fever," "Blue Moon," "Summertime," "Night and day," "Fly Me to the moon," among other songs.
Free admission until full capacity.
