FAKE is a multidisciplinary stage piece that reveals an image of our world as it is scrutinized through the lens of video games. Taking as a provocation "The Simulation Hypothesis" by philosopher Nick Bostrom, they have posed a central question: What if our universe and ourselves were nothing more than a hyperrealistic simulation created by a post-human civilization, and we were immersed in the process of replicating new universes, within that same game? What if existence itself were nothing more than a loop of simulations? Is it legitimate to defend a truth above all else? Is the truth "real" or are we victims of a falsification that leads us to accept this construction as real? Our world is still a cultural construct, and never before has it been so easy to model it. Theatre and games are two areas where actions have no consequences in the real world. A perfect starting point to create a hybrid stage piece, halfway between political theatre, documentary and multimedia performance.
