Since the last third of the 19th century, a series of political changes have taken place in Spain, creating great instability not only in the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands, but also in the so-called Spanish overseas provinces: Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, the Island of Guam, the Marianas, the Carolinas, etc.
The conference will focus on covering the history of that period of time (1875 to 1900) in what were the Spanish provinces of the Pacific.
Speaker: José Enrique Gil-Delgado Crespo. Author of novels, poems and stories. Academician of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Creator of English and French methods. Translator and interpreter.
