The Shortest Day [ED+C] is an annual European event that comes to our country on Saturday, December 21, 2024, the day of the winter solstice, led by the Spanish Short Film Coordinator.

The first edition was held in France in 2011. Two years later, the Spanish Short Film Coordinator organised the first edition of [ED+C] in Spain. And year after year, it has attracted thousands of spectators. Our country is the only one to celebrate this event in a novel format: simultaneous streaming film screenings throughout the country, open and free of charge at the initiative of institutions, companies and individuals for 24 hours.

It is about celebrating, promoting and disseminating short films through free public screenings of short films in all kinds of spaces: schools, hospitals, streets and squares, museums, bars, etc.

Goya Awards

At the Public Library of Zamora we have chosen a selection of short films nominated for the Goya Awards, a sample of the most outstanding talent in Spanish cinema. These works, which have been recognized for their technical and narrative quality, offer us captivating stories full of emotions. A unique opportunity to enjoy the best short films that have left their mark on the film industry.
