The Castilian and Leonese Institute of Language is organizing a new session of Contando la música on Monday, October 14, at 7:30 p.m., at the Public Library of Castile and León in Valladolid, a proposal for a musical appreciation talk coordinated by the orchestra conductor José Luis López Antón, head of the Avila Symphony Orchestra. This is an initiative born from the concern of this young musician to bring the public closer to the ins and outs of the great masterpieces of classical music.

Contando la música seeks to enjoy the great repertoire of classical music through a guided understanding that allows the public access to a more concrete perception of the most significant stylistic currents in the history of music. In this new session, López Antón will share with the Burgos public the ins and outs of one of the best-known works by the Russian Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky, Symphony No. 4 in F minor, Op. 36 composed by the Russian composer between 1877 and 1878.

José Luis López Antón is considered one of the brightest promises of the new generation of orchestra conductors in Spain. He has also conducted the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra (ORTVE), the Castile and León Symphony Orchestra (OSCyL), the Orchestra and Choir of the Community of Madrid (ORCAM), the Navarra Symphony Orchestra, the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra, the Verum Orchestra, the Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra, the Málaga Symphony Orchestra, the Castellón Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Segovia Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the Zamora Youth Symphony Orchestra, the COSCyL Contemporary Music Ensemble, and the I n Crescendo Children's Orchestra of the OSCyL socio-educational project.
