Teatro Corsario performs a dramatized reading of scenes from shows performed throughout its history, accompanied by music.

An instructive and charming recital, in the style of "Palabra de Corsario" and "Mujeres del Siglo de Oro", with the actors: Jesús Peña, Carlos Pinedo, Blanca Izquierdo and Rosa Manzano.

The company was formed in 1982. Its long history is characterised by a very special treatment of the classics in the Spanish language, which has placed it among the most important companies of verse. On the other hand, it stages innovative puppet shows for adults of international scope and, occasionally, contemporary theatre. Fernando Urdiales ( Castile and León Prize for the Arts) was the director of most of the productions until his death in 2010. Jesús Peña is the current director of the company, with which he has staged "Clásicos cómicos, entremeses de burlas", "El Médico de su orgullo", "Traidor", "Retorno a Celama" and "El mayores de Zalamea", as well as the puppet shows for adults "La maldición de Poe", "Vampyria", "Aullidos" and "Celestina infernal".

The music for almost all the shows has been composed by Juan Carlos Martín. Teatro Corsario has received the Max Prize and the Adolfo Marsillach Prize, among many other awards.
