"The moon is not there"

The author Gema García Marcos (Palencia, 1981) presents her book: "The moon is not there".
Gema is an educational counselor and speech therapist who has been writing stories since she was a child. She contributes to the website Espacio Logopédico.

In his book he describes Martin, who sees the Moon for the first time and is fascinated by his discovery.
All his hopes are shattered one night when the moon isn't where it should be. What could have happened? Confused, Martín asks his father, who fuels his imagination with his answer; his sister, who invites him to play hide-and-seek with the moon; and, finally, his mother. It is she who teaches him to wait, to be patient, to respect the rhythms, and who accompanies him on subsequent nights until the moon rises again and shines in the night.

A story that tenderly brings us closer to the thought of childhood, characterized by curiosity, symbolic language, and the permanence of things, and introduces children to the understanding of processes, inviting them to tolerate waiting.
