It is located in the Esla River and in 1994 this area was declared Regional Park, since ecosystems own of the Euro-Siberian region are preserved, with extensive areas of Atlantic forest which are characterized by oak and beech forests and a fauna in which the presence of the brown bear and the grouse is highlight; giving this environment great natural and landscape values.

The construction of the reservoir of Riano began in 1965, although certain social and political circumstances delayed its opening until late 80. In its waters, in addition to fishing, you can play a wide variety of sports.
